Creating Cost Tables

I just downloaded and started to use methvin. It is really awesome. But also complicated for users who used excel previously for these kind of jobs :)

I want to create general cost databases for the jobs. And while creating estimations, I want to put  the jobs that I need to my estimation form. I spent some time for this but I really couldn't do it. Can you give some brief information about this basic actions.

Thanks you

Re: Creating Cost Tables
As with all programs there are a number of ways of doing things. A good practice would be to set up a project called pricing standards which should be copied in using the utility’s menu from a project that you have priced previously and preferably won the bid. By doing this you then have a strong starting point for a new contract that is similar in nature. For the next project; copy the recourse file into the new project from the utility menu once again, then import the new project schedule of items from excel (Copy & Paste) into the estimating and pricing form of Methvin.

For fast and confident pricing go to your pricing standards project and copy the lines of ‘pricing details’ form and then paste them into your new project.

NB please remember to correct your production rates and update your resource file values before submitting your bid.

Hope this helps
